Now the panic is starting to come. Two years ago when we traveled we were innocent. I liken it to newlyweds; ready to take on the world, not caring if we spoke the same language, love can conquer all attitude. This time we know better. We know that even if Rick Steves says you can buy anything over in Europe that you have here in the States it isn't true. Deodorant is different, soap is different, pain killers are different, toothpaste is different, panty hose are different, bras are different, hair color is much different. You get the idea. So in my packing scheme of things I am trying to look ahead and be prepared. At the same time I have to keep the weight down on my one piece of luggage. So needless to say, I awoke at 4:00 am this morning with all this on my mind and am trying to figure out the best way to move forward from here. For those of you keeping track, 2 more re-packs just yesterday!
I am forewarning all readers that when we started our blog 2 years ago we were the first in the family to do so. It was a new idea and a great way to journal for us. We got hooked on it because it allowed us to relive our experiences and share them with others. Since that first post 2 years ago, our daughters Maren and Deanna, have started blogging also. In fact many nieces, friends, and others are blogging too. They include beautiful backgrounds with flowers, slideshows, videos, links to here, links to there, more beautiful backgrounds with music attached, etc. etc, etc.
WE DON"T KNOW HOW TO DO THAT! So here is the disclaimer: We will be lucky to upload pictures, agree on the content and get it posted to you. Please don't expect fancy stuff because you will be sorely disappointed. Our son in law even suggested we email the stuff for the blog to our daughters and let them put it in their fancy way. A great idea but that is too much work for all concerned.
The countdown is starting. One week from today and we are off!

Uh, yeah. Don't send the pictures and info to me. I'll just procrastinate anyway. You're better off just posting a picture or two and let us google it find out where you've been!!! Hey! That'd be fun!
I'm so glad you guys started this for our family! It's a great way to keep in touch...even if yours is only for your travels!
Oh how you crack me up!
Don't sweat the small stuff. The guts of the blog is what makes it really interesting. Not the flowers!
