5...

Today is a busy day. We even had to set the alarm clock! We have been traveling all night and in the morning, we arrive at Pasau, Germany. We have to eat and be on the bus at 8:30. We drove for two hours to get to Salzburg, Austria. The ship provided a box lunch for us--an apple, a sandwich, a chocolate bar, and a bottle of water. But in their next breath, they said why would you want to eat this? Go to Salzburg and get a sausage and a beer and enjoy the food there!

It was a pretty ride through little towns and open fields. It is still mostly flat, but with some rolling hills. There isn't much difference between Germany and Austria. At one point along the way, we crossed a river and the guide said, "we are now in Austria!"

Salzburg looked kind of normal for a town, but we drove into the city center and finally, Christmas markets that are open! Mom was very happy! The center has lots of nice shops and stalls set up for the market.

We stay until 3:30 and then drive back near the ship and visit the Lintz Christmas market. Back to the ship for dinner at 7pm and then at 8:30, we board a small tour tram which will give us a short tour of Lintz. Print this post

that is gorgeous!!! I wonder if people realize they live in such a beautiful country...

What a cute ice skating rink. I want to go ice skating now...too bad they don't have outdoor ones in AZ (maybe in Tempe?), but they have them all over the Northeast!!!
