We haven't written because 2 days ago we walked around Edinburgh. Yesterday was a sea day. Today we landed in Le Havre, France--the most bombed port in Europe!
Actually it is a very modern town with still a touch of oldness. We quickly felt right at home as we strolled past the boulangeries, the patisseries and the markets. We both said that we felt comfortable here and that must be because we have spent so much time in Paris and France in general.
We are taking back to the ship a piece of Brie cheese, a baguette and 2 pieces of flan de coco (coconut pie that we LOVE) and will have a glorious lunch on the ship!!!!
All is well with us. The room is getting better and Princess cruises will compensate us a few hundred dollars for our discomfort. They have another room but it isn't an upgrade and since we have a new bed, shampooed carpets, 6 times of washed walls, and ceilings we are probably better off where we are!
We love and miss everyone and we will start our transatlantic voyage tomorrow. We will post when we have something to post about!
