Arhus, Denmark We feel like ducks today!

Well this only happens a couple of times but Rick Steves led us down the wrong path today. In his book he talks about a great bus tour of Arhus for 3 hours. That was our plan today but as soon as we stepped off the ship we asked a tourist information person where we could pick up this smoking deal. It hasn't been offered for 2 years!

So we headed out on our own. We soon realized the weather was quickly changing so we changed our path and headed to the 12th century town catherdral.

It is absolutely beautiful and we took some pictures and headed out for another landmark. Soon the rain started pouring and it was cold and windy. We ducked into Linda's cafe and had to buy something since we were using the facilities to get out of the rain. A brownie beckoned me and Jim got a chocolate frosted banana cupcake. Of course no treat would be complete without our Coca Cola Lights.

We waited for the rain to stop, took off as soon as it did and headed out again. Soon it started pouring again so we headed back to the church. Wherever you go in the world, a local church offers comfort to those needing a reprieve.

A service was beginning so we sat in a bench, listened to the organ, a few minutes of the sermon in Danish and as soon as the sun peeked through the windows took off again.

Not more than 10 minutes of walking and more rain. We ducked into another cafe for lunch and then headed out to find Boomtown, an internet cafe in Denmark.

We will make a run for it and hopefully neither of us will catch pneumonia from all the rain. Tomorrow we will be in Copenhagen and will look for a place to download today's pictures. Print this post

I would love to see all these churches in person, that you get to see! Some of my favorite places to visit in NYC are the old churches...and there's are only 300 years old! I can't imagine ones that are 500-700 years old!

Soooo, I'm confused now. Are you still on a cruise? How come it's at some same places you've already been to? Or maybe it's not...just my perception.
