Note to Self—Part 2

The ocean has been as smooth as glass the past few days. Nothing to see and nothing much going on. The Captain tells us how lucky and fortunate we are that we are having the weather we have right now. I guess this is pretty unusual for transatlantic crossings.

Today we were walking on the deck following a lecture on the ports and the Captain came on unexpectedly. Usually that means something if he comes on after his usual noon update. We were going to get to experience another whale sighting. This time the whale was flapping his flipper on the water and blowing and flapping and blowing. It was quite fun to watch him for the few minutes that we got to. The whale was putting on a nice show for us and we didn’t have our camera! Note to self-remember to take the camera even if you think you won’t need it!

What is the likehood of a whale being seen by us just off our starboard side in the middle of the great big Atlantic ocean? Someone asked the cruise director if they had a little remote control gadget that they were pushing buttons on much like Disneyland! It was very neat to say the least! Print this post
