Alicante, Spain

Today our ship pulled into Alicante, Spain. It is not very far south of Barcelona. I was thinking small town, but this is a big city! After a good night’s sleep and a nice breakfast, we headed out on our own for a little walk. The Port shuttles us out of the port area on a bus and then we’re on our own for the city.

We walked into town a little way on the Rambla and then stopped at several parks for a “rest”. Alicante is a charming, modern town, with a harbor full of large, expensive yachts. We left after a couple of hours and went back to the ship. Tomorrow we stop in Malaga, Spain.

We have met the nicest couple from Australia that we dine with. We must have offended the Florida couple because they only dined with us once and then they moved to another table. Danny and Gaye are about our ages and we have finally figured out their accent. We usually spend about 2 hours at dinner with them talking about our countries, the problems that we share and our families. They are quite nice and we feel lucky that we have met them. You discuss "problems with your families?" LOL

that's how I first read your blog...I was like "we don't have problems!"

Glad you are enjoying you days!
