We got up very early and caught the fast French train to Montpellier, France. Then we switched to the slow Spanish train. We arrived in Figueres, Spain at 6:30pm and got a cab to take us to Roses, Spain where our hotel sits right on the beach.
We feel like we have arrived in Las Vegas! The noise and commotion is soooooooooooooo loud here. There are french groups, spanish groups, italian groups and two lonely Americans in the midst of it all. Coming from the solitude of French restaurants, french metros, and french trains we now have figured out where the french come to let loose--and all others, ROSES, SPAIN!
We can't even talk to each other in the lobby it is so loud. Lucky for us they are only here for the weekend and will be gone on Monday. We are going to go use our stand up shower and go to bed. We are exhausted from all the traveling today.
